2024-2025 Session 4

February 10, 2025

2024-2025 Session 4 was challenging but a big success. The learning adventure focused on the Poetry and the Chinese New Year. All learners explored some different types of poems, read & wrote poems and shared them at the Celebration of Learning. Our friends the Tai’s taught shared some Chinese New Year traditions with the learners and even performed the Chinese Dragon dance at the Celebration of Learning.

2024-2025 Session 3

December 20, 2024

For Session 3 the focus was on the Christmas season. Our learners organized, wrote, and performed their own version of the “The Grinch” for the friends and family that attended our Celebration of Learning. They also designed the playbill and the did the set design as well. The guides helped with some of the organization and setup but this was pretty much a total learner driven project. It was such a joy watching the learners creativity come to life.

2024-2025 Session 2

November 21, 2024

We wrapped up our second session of the 2024-2025 year.
Session 2 we got to enjoy the beautiful weather outdoors as fall is winding down. The learning adventure focused on the election process and US presidents.  The middle school learners focused on learning about the election process, the government representatives, and explored campaigning which they presented at the Celebration of Learning.  Our younger learners shared what they learned about the US Presidents during a live wax museum where they played the character of a president or first lady they studied over the session. We were blessed to have one our part time learners come and share her love of drawing birds and even brought in her own chickens for the learners to learn about.

  • 2023-2024 Session 5

We wrapped our 5th session in March just in time for the Spring Break/Easter season.

This session the learners made some big progress on their core skills. Our learning adventure was focused on the body systems. They used creativity to show how certain systems function and presented that at our Celebration of Learning.

Here’s a short video highlighting session 5 and the Celebration of Learning!

It’s hard to believe the year will be over soon! We’re taking enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year and would to talk about what we can provide for you and your family.

As always if you know anyone that might be interested in a purpose-driven homeschool hybrid, please share us with them.

  • 2023-2024 Session 1

We had a great 1st Session that ended mid October. We had a little hiccup with getting into the church where we intend to meet permanently. Operating out of our home tested both our resolve and flexibility on top of patience and having boundaries but we managed and had a great opening session.

We established our routines with our core academics (reading/grammar, math, and handwriting), studied color theory and stop motion production. Our adventurers learned to work together in a small place and how to welcome new faces to the group.

Here’s a short video highlighting session 1! Stay tuned for session 2 highlights!

  • 2024-2025 Session 1

2024-2025 Session 1 we got into our routines and learned our rhythms. The learning adventure focused on art in nature. Learners used items they found in nature to make art. The learners shared their art and the things they learned during our first Celebration of Learning this year. We are so blessed to have multiple new families join us for this year. Session 2 is in full swing right now and excited for our next celebration of learning

  • 2023-2024 Session 6/7

We wrapped our final session for the year the end of May just after Memorial Day. June was an eventful month for our family as we had some mold remediation at our home that kept us out of our normal routines. July was our chance rejuvenate and get things back to normal and August we’re getting back in the swing of things. So we’ve finally put together our Final Sessions Summary.

Our final two sessions the learners progressed with their core skills. Our learning adventure for Session 6 was focused on biomes. They used their creativity to make a biome of their own and create their own animal that would live in that biome. Session 7 was a short session that we focused on the Olympics. The learners explored some history of the Olympics and their project was to invent a game that their peers and parents could participate in. They had to explain their game, the rules and write the instructions for someone to follow. Below are some highlights from both sessions.

It’s been such a blessing that we’ve been able to get through this year! We’ve learned a lot and are very excited to get the next year started.

We still have openings to enroll for the 2024-2025 school year and would love to talk about what we can provide for you and your family.
